Deep, dark and delightful. Bombay Chai is a mélange of exotic spices, conjuring up the aromatic delights of an Indian street market. Chai tea (tea blended with spice) originated centuries ago in India and Tibet and is so popular in this part of the world that in Hindi, the word “chai” actually means “tea.” Wonderful with a splash of milk & honey.

To make a café-style Spiced Chai Latte: Mix 2 tablespoons chai, 1 cup water, and 1 cup milk in a saucepan. Bring to a light boil and immediately reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sugar or honey. Strain into a mug or pitcher and enjoy!

Our elegant, embossed tin is designed to keep tea fresh and full of flavor.

Each tin holds approximately 48 teaspoons (16 tablespoons) of loose tea. The number of servings-per-tin varies depending upon the type of tea, leaf size, cup size and desired strength (amount of tea used).

The tin itself measures 6.25 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Although one tin holds 16 fluid ounces by volume, the actual ounce weight of the tea within varies depending on the density of each specific tea.
