MOROCCAN MINT

Inspired by the rich, sweet, mint teas served throughout Northern Africa, Moroccan Mint blends antioxidant-rich gunpowder green tea with fresh-cut spearmint, lemon verbena and sweet licorice root. Pure licorice root lends a thick, sweet taste to this refreshing blend and makes an excellent alternative to sugar. Both green tea and licorice root are believed to naturally cleanse and detoxify the body.

Add a decorative sprig of fresh mint as a garnish for a real taste of Morocco.

NOTE: What many people think of as 'licorice' flavor is actually from the herb anise; actual licorice root simply has a plain, sweet, earthy flavor and is an excellent sugar replacement to sweeten and balance tea. The sweet, thick flavor of licorice root mimics the sugar found in traditional Moroccan tea. Traditionally, licorice root has been used to treat sore throats and ulcers and is considered a natural cough suppressant and expectorant. 

This tea was previously named "Serene Green."  The recipe is the same.

Our elegant, embossed tin is designed to keep tea fresh and full of flavor.

Each tin holds approximately 48 teaspoons (16 tablespoons) of loose tea. The number of servings-per-tin varies depending upon the type of tea, leaf size, cup size and desired strength (amount of tea used).

The tin itself measures 6.25 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Although a tin holds 16 fluid ounces by volume, the actual ounce weight of the tea within varies depending on the density of the leaf.
