organic black tea (sample)

This bright, brisk, full-flavored black tea is the ideal morning pick-me-up, and quickly becomes an ‘all day tea’ for those of us needing an extra boost in energy. The pleasant zing of lemon envelopes each sip with the warmth of sunshine. Citrus Breakfast also makes a gorgeous iced tea with refreshing notes of lemon. Rich in antioxidants and anti-aging properties.

BREWING TIPS: (HOT TEA) For the smoothest flavor, allow water to cool after boiling to 180°F. Steep one tablespoon of tealeaves in 12 ounces of water for 2–2 ½ minutes.

(COLD-BREWED ICED TEA) This blend is fabulous hot or as a cold-brewed iced tea—simply mix one tablespoon of tea for every cup of fresh, cold water in a covered pitcher, refrigerate for 6-10 hours, strain, and savor!

organic black tea (sample)

This signature, Octavia Tea blend is made with a blended base of Dian Hong and Ancient Yunnan Broken Pekoe from Yunnan, China. This premium quality black tea is made with a “broken pekoe” leaf-grade, which increases the cup’s strength and body.

Samples are packaged in re-sealable foil bags that contain approximately 6 teaspoons (2 tablespoons) of loose-leaf tea. One sample brews between 2-6 cups depending on desired strength.

The bag itself measures approximately 3 inches wide, 5 inches tall and 0.5 inches deep.

  1. Lacking the citrus? Maybe it's my sample....

This is a small leafed black tea that should have citrus peels in it, but I'm not really seeing any in my sample (could just be my sample). I'm trying and trying to find any citrus flavor here at all, and I'm just not tasting any of it. As a black tea, it's delicious enough. Robust, malty, brassy with a very dark brew. It isn't QUITE a CTC base, but the leaves are finely chopped. I like this as a black tea, but if it claims to be citrus, I really am searching for that citrus.
