Blends
Escape from the ordinary with our flavorful collection of award-winning blends.
Our tea blends range from time-honored favorites to whimsical imaginative treats. We take influence from modern culinary trends as well as ancient healing recipes based on Indian Ayurvedic or traditional Chinese medicine. We blend our teas in small batches using the highest quality ingredients to ensure ultimate freshness and quality. Our tea blends feature unique, healthy combinations of herbs, fruits, flowers, spices, natural flavors, and pure essential oils.
Many people would assume that unflavored tea is more traditional, but people have been flavoring their tea for thousands of years. Anthropological research indicates that tea was originally wild-harvested and cooked into nourishing soups and as a folk medicine; tea was mixed with anything from ginger, scallions and salt, to berries and spices. These initial uses of tea date back some 5,000 years, making flavored/blended tea about as ancient as the primitive styles of wine and beer.
One of the most popular classic tea blends is that of green tea and jasmine. To create our jasmine teas, tea leaves are scented at-origin by layering tea leaves with up to 8 times its weight with fresh, night-blooming jasmine flowers through an artisanal method of tea scenting that dates back more than 800 years. Because dried tea leaves are hygroscopic, they easily absorb surrounding scents. Even after the jasmine blossoms are removed, tea retains the jasmine’s enchanting aroma captured within the leaf itself.  Jasmine tea is revered for its stress-reducing benefits and has been regarded as the perfect digestif tea for centuries.
With 20+ years of experience, we create house-blends with teas, herbs, fruits, flowers, and spices—selected for their flavor and positive, adaptogenic effects on the body. Our botanical blends feature a long list of ingredients with impressive health benefits such as cardamom, clove, licorice root, peppermint, spearmint, osmanthus, jasmine, rose, and many more. Herbs such as chamomile, valerian root, and lavender aid relaxation and sleep, and offer mild sedative and natural pain-relieving properties. Turmeric is believed to reduce inflammation and improve brain function. Ginger may aid digestion and relieve nausea.  Hibiscus is said to act as a weight loss herb that supports metabolism, arterial health, and blood pressure. Since they come from the same plant, white, green, oolong, black, and dark teas offer many of the same benefits, but green teas are especially famous for their potent antioxidants which fight free-radicals that lead to aging and disease, while black teas may promote cardiovascular health. White teas are prized for their ability to calm and soothe, and oolong tea may offer extra metabolism-boosting properties. Pu-erh/Dark tea offers probiotic and digestive benefits.
We revel in the knowledge that tea can enhance the health, well-being, mindfulness, and enjoyment of our customers.
