Description
Inspired by the luxurious desserts served at European sidewalk cafés, Vanilla Cream is a smooth, comforting blend of rooibos, sweet vanilla and a touch of chocolate. Also known as red tea, rooibos contains exceptionally high levels of antioxidants and anti-aging properties and is said to relieve stress and anxiety. With less than three calories per cup, Vanilla Cream is an excellent alternative to dessert.

Origin
Rooibos, the base herb used in this blend, originates in the Western Cape region of South Africa.
Quick Brewing Guide
Water Temperature: 195°F
Leaf to Water Ratio: 1 heaping tablespoon per 16 oz
Steep Time: 4-5 minutes
Brewing Instructions
General Guide:
- Add tea leaves to a teapot, fill-your-own tea bag or infuser basket.
- Use 1 to 3 teaspoons (1 tablespoon) of leaves per cup (8 oz) of water. Adjust to taste.
- Bring fresh, cold water to a rolling boil, allow it to cool slightly, then pour water over tea leaves and cover.
- Infuse (steep) leaves 2-5 minutes; 3½ minutes is a good average that works well for most tea types. Do not oversteep or tea may become bitter. If you prefer strong tea, simply use more leaves.
- Remove bag or infuser from water or strain leaves. Enjoy!
Water Quality: Tea is only as good as the water used to prepare it. Avoid distilled or unfiltered tap water, which can limit tea’s flavor. Bottled spring water or filtered tap water is ideal.
Water Temperature: Most teas taste best when prepared with water around 195˚F (just below boiling); however, some teas require a lower temperature or they may become bitter.

Great decaf tea flavorBought this decaf tea because I'm pregnant and can't drink caffeinated teas or coffees. Tastes rich and delicious. When I can, it takes really good with milk and sugar as well. Already went through 3 cans.

Tasty TeaI've been searching for a red rooibos vanilla tea for ages. This tea has great vanilla flavor, very smooth and fragrant. I wish it came in a regular bag instead of the beautiful tin. I want to purchase a larger quality and not have to feel guilty about disposing of the package.

DeliciousI bought this tea under the recommendation of a friend and I LOVE it. Its very smooth and not biter at all. I have a cup in the morning and it satisfied that sweet tooth craving and its good for you. I dont put anything in it but some add sugar, but its good on its own

Smooth and not too sweetI love the Octavia red tea blends, especially the chocolate mint, but this one looked interesting so I gave it a try. It's very nice with just enough vanilla to give it flavor without being overwhelming. I only use 100% pure Stevia for sweetening and that works well with all of the Octavia teas I've sampled so far. This one is quite nice and I'll be ordering more.

Creamy, Soothing, and I am ordering more!This arrived by UPS VERY quickly at my home today. A couple hours later I am indulging and it is even more fabulous than I thought it would be. It is creamy, soothing with subtle mellow spiciness. It could indeed be a substitute for dessert! AND I only added a few drops of plain non-flavored stevia.I am ordering more and chocolate-mint looks very tantalizing to me!

Wonderful discovery!!!I have been looking for years for a robustly flavored vanilla tea that I can drink both day and night. Being a rooibos tea, it has no caffeine and many health benefits. Now I can have what may be the most delicious vanilla tea I have ever had, anytime of the day. (Highly recommend adding a bit of amaretto in the evening, so delish!). Packaging is most excellent! It comes in a sealed foil bag inside of an airtight canister. Superior quality all around. I am truly impressed. It is in my top 3 tea suppliers. I will stick with these brands exclusively, it doesn't get any better.

This is more of a vanilla rooibos and has a delicate, delicious flavor which I cannot get enough of. I can't recommend this highly enough! The best part is that it is non-caffeinated and is perfect for a late night cup of tea!

I ended up really liking this tea. I enjoyed it alone initially but now I add it to my other teas to give it a creamy vanilla finish. I recently did a blind taste test with my mom (who is a legit teavana snob) and she ended up liking this tea better than the honeybush due to its more complex flavor profile.
I haven't had the other teas from this company- so I'm by no means leaving teavana in the dust, but I can personally vouch that THIS tea is great alone or blended with another tea.
My most recent find was adding it to my earl grey tea- which gave it a really lovely creamy finish. In the past I added it to a chamomile based tea and before that I added it to a strawberry and rose hip tea.
I wish the tins were sold separately- as I found them really nice and dainty. I recently bought all teavana tins to store my tea and I honestly like this tea tins oval shape better than the teavana's circular shape. -
