Quick Brewing Guide
Water Temperature: 190°F
Leaf to Water Ratio: 1 heaping teaspoon per 16 oz
Steep Time: 2-3 minutes
Brewing Instructions
General Guide:
- Add tea leaves to a teapot, fill-your-own tea bag or infuser basket.
- Use 1 to 3 teaspoons (1 tablespoon) of leaves per cup (8 oz) of water. Adjust to taste.
- Bring fresh, cold water to a rolling boil, allow it to cool slightly, then pour water over tea leaves and cover.
- Infuse (steep) leaves 2-5 minutes; 3½ minutes is a good average that works well for most tea types. Do not oversteep or tea may become bitter. If you prefer strong tea, simply use more leaves.
- Remove bag or infuser from water or strain leaves. Enjoy!
Water Quality: Tea is only as good as the water used to prepare it. Avoid distilled or unfiltered tap water, which can limit tea’s flavor. Bottled spring water or filtered tap water is ideal.
Water Temperature: Most teas taste best when prepared with water around 195˚F (just below boiling); however, some teas require a lower temperature or they may become bitter.

Best I've hadExtremely high quality.

High quality tea leavesI switched from tea bags to loose leaf teas a year ago. At first, I bargain hunted and bought the loose leaf tea that was the lowest price. It turned out it was mostly just dust - what's leftover once the quality leaves are packaged. I tried this one recently and fell in love. Large leaves, and a smooth clear, green tea flavor. It's now my favorite.

Very enjoyable, high quality organic teaWe usually order our organic green tea from Japan, but weren't ready to place another order so decided to try this product. It was fresh and tasty with a light floral quality. Though for frequent use we prefer the more astringent green teas from Japan, we enjoyed this tea very much and would purchase it again.

Love it! Not grassy at all.I have never liked green tea, it always tasted like a cup of grass clippings to me. However, I was willing to keep trying new ones since there seem to be many health benefits. When I read the description of this as "floral, not vegetal" I thought it might work, and I was not disappointed. This has a lovely flavor, very mild, and not at all grassy. Tastes delicious iced, too, and does not need a sweetener. Definitely my go to green tea from now on.
Also, you can't go wrong with Octavia teas. Since discovering them, I cannot go back to the store bought varieties. The quality is so much higher, and I love that they are all organic, without any additives or chemicals. They're the best! -
Nothing Like the DescriptionThis tea will have you shivering with its bitter taste and medicinal smell. I could barely finish my cup, which had been made properly. This may be good for some people, but not for me. No way am I buying an entire tin.

Smooth, floral green teaI don't understand the reviewer below me - this tea was incredibly smooth and not bitter in the least. Most green teas are much more bitter, vegetal, or even seaweedy tasting. This one is just like they say - more floral. It seems easier on the stomach that most greens, and is harder to make bitter - I used boiling water and steeped it a while and it still wasn't bitter. This is my favorite green tea now!

Great Green Tea OptionI love this tea. For my shop it makes an excellent choice of a green that is not too vegetal. I kind of think of it as an oolong as it is light & not grassy as most green teas are. I have been offering this tea for 5 years now & hope you will always have it for my shop to offer.

I keep reordering! Unique and delicious tea! This is an unusual green tea - it does not have the bitterness, grassiness, or seaweed like taste of many green teas. It is very smooth and fresh tasting. It is perfect for making a green "chai" with spices where usually a green tea might taste odd. Please keep making this tea! I am not sure why the reviewer below says medicinal and bitter - I have ordered it 3 times and that is not the case at all in the ones I have had. Maybe they are reviewing the wrong tea, or making it incorrectly (too strong, too hot water?)
