In celebration of this tea-drinking tradition, Irish Breakfast is a hearty blend of traditional, Chinese black teas with a robust, malty character with dry hints of grape skin and molasses, and a brisk, slightly smoky finish that satisfies well beyond breakfast. Add a splash of milk and sugar to this classic, full-bodied cup for a real taste of Ireland.

This Octavia Tea blend is made using premium-quality Dianhong and Ancient Dianhong black teas from Yunnan, China.
Quick Brewing Guide
Water Temperature: 195°F
Leaf to Water Ratio: 1 heaping tablespoon per 16 oz
Steep Time: 3-4 minutes
Brewing Instructions
General Guide:
- Add tea leaves to a teapot, fill-your-own tea bag or infuser basket.
- Use 1 to 3 teaspoons (1 tablespoon) of leaves per cup (8 oz) of water. Adjust to taste.
- Bring fresh, cold water to a rolling boil, allow it to cool slightly, then pour water over tea leaves and cover.
- Infuse (steep) leaves 2-5 minutes; 3½ minutes is a good average that works well for most tea types. Do not oversteep or tea may become bitter. If you prefer strong tea, simply use more leaves.
- Remove bag or infuser from water or strain leaves. Enjoy!
Water Quality: Tea is only as good as the water used to prepare it. Avoid distilled or unfiltered tap water, which can limit tea’s flavor. Bottled spring water or filtered tap water is ideal.
Water Temperature: Most teas taste best when prepared with water around 195˚F (just below boiling); however, some teas require a lower temperature or they may become bitter.
Iced Tea: To make fresh iced tea, use twice as much tea to account for dilution by ice. Hot Brew: Follow directions above, allow tea to cool, and add ice. Cold Brew: Pour fresh, cold water over tea leaves, cover, and refrigerate 8 hours.

Best tea ever!I've had a lot of different types of tea over the years and have also traveled to several different countries, and Octavia tea is definitely one of the best teas I've ever had! I especially love the Irish Breakfast tea- it blows top American and English brands away. And, no matter how long I let it steep, it doesn't get bitter! Mix it with sugar and half and half and it's pure bliss. Order the bulk bag- you won't regret it!!

This is a solid black tea, very strong flavor ...This is a solid black tea, very strong flavor but not overpowering. I still prefer the citrus breakfast in the morning, but this is a solid morning tea too.

Full of flavor and not bitterI love all Octavia tea, her teas are the best i have had. This is a very full bodied tea (like a dark roast coffee), but not bitter. It is great for mornings with a touch of cream. If you prefer medium body coffee version, the English breakfast is also a wonderful tea!
