This signature Octavia Tea blend features organic turmeric from Guatemala.
Water Temperature: 200°F
Leaf to Water Ratio: 1 heaping tablespoon per 16 oz
Steep Time: 4-5 minutes
General Guide:
- Add tea leaves to a teapot, fill-your-own tea bag or infuser basket.
- Use 1 to 3 teaspoons (1 tablespoon) of leaves per cup (8 oz) of water. Adjust to taste.
- Bring fresh, cold water to a rolling boil, allow it to cool slightly, then pour water over tea leaves and cover.
- Infuse (steep) leaves 2-5 minutes; 3½ minutes is a good average that works well for most tea types. Do not oversteep or tea may become bitter. If you prefer strong tea, simply use more leaves.
- Remove bag or infuser from water or strain leaves. Enjoy!
Water Quality: Tea is only as good as the water used to prepare it. Avoid distilled or unfiltered tap water, which can limit tea’s flavor. Bottled spring water or filtered tap water is ideal.
Water Temperature: Most teas taste best when prepared with water around 195˚F (just below boiling); however, some teas require a lower temperature or they may become bitter.
Iced Tea: To make fresh iced tea, use twice as much tea to account for dilution by ice. Hot Brew: Follow directions above, allow tea to cool, and add ice. Cold Brew: Pour fresh, cold water over tea leaves, cover, and refrigerate 8 hours.

Tumeric fanI've heard that Tumeric has good health qualities. It's one of my favorites... I drink it several times a week alternating between other Octavia Tea flavors.

Great taste and healthy mix of tea and spicesThis is one of the few teas that I don't need to put honey in to sweeten, as the combination of the turmeric, ginger, etc. have a wonderful taste! Full disclosure: I always put cream in my tea. :)

One of my favs!I love the taste of turmeric ginger tea so much i ordered it in bulk.

wonderful ginger turmeric teaI was just given a tin of Octavia Tea Company's turmeric ginger tea for my birthday last week. I shared it with my two sisters and we all agreed it is quite tasty, pungent with a smooth sweet undertone. This is truly a tea I will buy myself. Thank you.

Better than I expected! Not really a fan of ginger or turmeric.I was not enthusiastic about this one, as I'm not a fan of turmeric. The couple of times I had a turmeric tea it was too bitter with an odd dusty quality. I couldn't tell what the appeal of turmeric was. But apparently it's a healthy. I usually don't like ginger either. And ginger and turmeric come from the same plant family so it's no wonder I don't like them. So this tea might not have been the one I'd choose to reach for. Anyway, this is the best a turmeric cup can possibly get and was actually enjoyable, resulting in a flavor that was mostly licorice. The licorice was probably included to make the turmeric smoother. The golden brew was earthy and sweet. Not too many of the citrus ingredients came through in the flavor: Licorice first, turmeric second. I expected a much worse result
